PPP fails to get political mileage by implicating Musharraf in BB tragedy: APML

ISLAMABAD :  All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Central Coordination Secretary Muhammad Amoon Pasha said that PPP led incumbent government has been making a futile exercise to woo the agitating minds of PPP activists by coining Benazir  Bhutto assassination report  and implicating former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf in the tragedy.

In a press statement released here on Wednesday from APML Central Secretariat, APML Central Coordination Secretary Amoon Pasha said that the investigative report on  Benazir assassination  drafted by Interior Ministry revealed nothing new despite the lapse of four years under PPP s led regime.

APML Quaid and former President of Pakistan is being implicated in Benazir Bhutto assassination on false footings as provision of security to the PPP Chairperson was the responsibility of the provincial government instead of the presidency , Amoon Pasha said.

Commenting on the tall claims of Interior Minister Rehman Malik to bring back former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf with Interpol help, APML Coordination Secretary Amoon Pasha said PPP is politicizing the issue to gain some sort of political mileage, added that PPP during 2011 had also proclaimed to employ Interpol for Musharraf return in Pakistan but the ruling elite should realized the fact that no one couldn t be befooled for a longtime.

APML Central Coordination Secretary further elucidated that if former President and APML Quaid Pervez Musharraf is responsible for assassination of Benazir Bhutto for simply being in the presidency then President Asif Ali Zardari should also be held responsible for murder of Governor Punjab Salman Taseer and Federal Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti.

Amoon Pasha asserted that APML Quaid Pervez Musharraf couldn t be deterred through such tactics and the report has been designed to seek sympathy of public at the name of Benazir Bhutto.
