Pir Mazhar opens Girls Degree College in a Karachi village

Karachi :   Senior Minister of Sindh for Education, Pir Mazharul Haq has said that Karachi is the backbone of Pakistan and all development is connected with peace. Education brightens the minds and educational institutions give strength to the minds for generations to come.

This he said while speaking at an inauguration ceremony of Degree Girls College Jan Muhammad Brohi Goth Gulshan-e-Mamar last evening.

He said,  It is a great achievement of present democratic government that it has taken all coalition partners on board despite multiple problems and has successfully completed four years of democratic government.

Appreciating the role of those who spread light of knowledge to others, he said that they were performing great services to the nations and following the foot prints of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Quid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulffikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

He said that brave nations overcome their difficulties bravely and whole nation is proud of teachers. Senior Minister added that girl students should play their vital role in forming a good and civilized nation and with the help of education we could do away the darkness of illiteracy and eliminate the trends of extremism and terrorism.

He said,  Basic facilities are being provided to educational institutions. Lack of resources is a matter, but we, with our zeal and commitment, will solve all problems.

He also announced Rs.1 million for college and pick and drop facility to the teachers and students. He assured college administration that their all problems including gas, water, electricity, shortage of teachers, furniture and laboratory requirements will be solved soon.

Pir Mazharul Haq announced status of Degree College to the intermediate college and directed officials of education department to complete all formalities in a week in order to provide degree level education to the girls of the area.

Director Colleges Dr. Nasir Ansar, College Principal Professor Humera Tahteer and Jan Alam Khan also addressed. Traditional Sindhi Ajrak and shields were given to the guests, teachers and students.
