Lahore : Chairman, Sindh National Front, Mumtaz Ali Bhutto said on Tuesday that holding the office of President of Pakistan by Asif Ali Zardari is unconstitutional and illegal, as the Swiss cases and that of Surrey Palace against him are proved.
Bhutto, who is currently in Lahore and had held meeting with PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind on Monday, said in a statement here that Lahore High Court had also given its verdict that Asif Zardari cannot hold two offices President and party chairman, at a time and he has to vacate one of these offices.
Asif Zardari had to take such a decision before contesting for the slot of President, but he rejected the LHC verdict and committed the contempt of court for which he must be punished, SNF chief contended.
Mumtaz Bhutto said there are several other cases of corruption and murders registered against Asif Zardari but he had been hiding behind the office of President of country to escape the cases. The flatterers have been arguing that all these cases are fake and political, and if it is so, why Zardari doesn t to the court of law to prove these cases fake, Bhutto questioned.
