LAHORE, To mark third death anniversary of late leader Ms. Benazir Bhutto the activists of the Pakistan People s Party held a candle light vigil in front of the Punjab Assembly on Monday.
They light candles and offered Fateha.
Muhammad Akram, a PPP activist, said he and many other poor activists of the party could not afford to visit Garhi Khuda Bux to take part in the death anniversary gathering of their leader.
They paid rich tribute to Ms. Benazir Bhutto for her service she rendered as Prime Minister twice for the betterment of the people of country. This day is the worst day, because terrorists snatched our great BB from us today, said Akram in ducked voice.
Expressing their confidence in the party s leadership, they chanted slogans hailing the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
They remarked late Benazir Bhutto had rendered her life for the sake of the country. They vowed not to let those sacrifices go wasted.
