Karachi : Families who have lost their loved ones during accidents and different incidents of violence in the city who felt that doctors in emergency or later could have saved their dear ones and are suspicious of negligence have been invited to attend a debate on the issue of Saving Patients Protecting doctors , being held on Saturday 25th Feb.2012 at Liaqat National Hospital (LNH).
Dr Ishrat Saleem chairman press and media for 7th LNH MedIcal Symposium highlighted that debate is part of the symposium which starts from 24th Feb to 26thFeb. 2012.
The debate is to raise issues on how to create strong bridge of trust understanding and awareness between doctor, his patient and the bereaved family. Also how the families of the deceased should handle their grief anger and frustration. How a common man can get justice in case of true negligence and how media trial should be avoided till all the facts are checked.
As part of the strong commitment of LNH towards medical training and research CME programs are conducted throughout the year and Symposium is a mega event with participation of doctors from all over the country.
There is also a session on ethical issues on termination of pregnancy on Saturday 25th Feb 9am on the same day.
