Karachi : A five-member delegation of Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) headed by Roch Cote called on Inspector General of Police, Sindh Syed Mushtaq Shah at Central Police Office here on Wednesday.
The delegation discussed the possibilities of enhancing capacity building of Karachi Police Officials in terms of logistic and training. It also extended their full support and assistance in the investigation of terrorism cases and also discussed briefly the sharing of information.
Roch Cote maintained that their objective was to improve the counterterrorism mechanism in Sindh Police and in this regard all required assistance would be extended.
IGP Sindh shared the current law and order situation with special reference to measures adopted for security and crime control. He informed the delegation that a computerized criminal database with all relevant details was being prepared and that would be update on daily basis.
