Karachi : Austrian Ambassador Mr. Axel Wech Tuesday called on Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas and discussed regarding investment opportunities in Sindh.
Austrian Trade Commissioner Dr. Wolfgang Penzias, and Austrian Trade Commission s Advisors M/s. Saleem Hashmi and Usman Mohiuddin accompanied the Ambassador. Sindh s Secretary Investment Ms. Naheed Shah Durrani, Secretary General Admin Muhammad Waseem and Secretary Implementation S.A. Mangrijo were also present.
During the discussion Chief Secretary said that Sindh has attractive opportunities for investment in various fields including wind energy, Livestock, Fisheries and Alternate Energy. He also pointed out that the training in many traditional and modern trades is also being imparted to the Sindh Youth by different institutes and SBBYDP (Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Program).
Sindh Secretary Investment elaborated that PTTI (Petroleum Technical Training Institute) at Khairpur is also contributing, to this effect.
Austrian delegates expounded about potential of generating electricity through hydro-power, coal and gas, and training in Tourism Management. They emphasized upon community building.
The literature on the investment opportunities was presented to the Austrian Trade Commissioner.
