Alternate traffic route plan issued for 12th Rabi-ul-Awal

Karachi, Karachi Traffic Police has issued plan of alternate traffic routes throughout the city for Sunday, 5th February due to processions of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.

According to the plan: 1. All traffic coming from the side of Lee Market, Agra Taj Colony, Crano Chowrangi, G Allana Road and Kharadar sides will not be allowed to proceed towards Kakri Ground and will have to diverted towards the alternate roads.

2. All vehicles coming from the side of Kemari via Jinnah Bridge will not be allowed to move towards M.W. tower and will have to divert towards the alternated routs.

3. All roads/streets/lanes falling on both sides of the routes of the below processions will be closed for all type of vehicles and these routes will be sealed. a. Kakri Ground, Nawab Mahabbat Khanjee Road Khoja Jamat Khana. G.Allan Road. M.W. Tower to Memon Masjid. b. Memon Masjid. M.A Jinnah Road. Capri Light Signal. Numaish Light Signal to Nishter Park. c. Memon Masjid. M.A. Jinnah Road. Tibet Centre. Preedy Street. Regal Chowk. Shahra-e-Liquat to Aram Bagh Masjid.

4. All type of vehicle will be diverted on alternate roads/streets from the following points from M.W. tower to old Exhibition to Nishter Park.
I. M.W.tower/M.A. Jinnah Road. II. Junction of I.I Chundrigar Road/Mumtaz Sussain Road. III. Junction of I.I Chundragar Road/Mir Karam Ali Talpur Road. IV. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/Awan-e-Alamgir Road. V. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/ Shahria-e- Alamgir Road. VI. Junction of Sh.Liaquat/Altaf Hussain Road. VII. Junction of Sh. Liauquat/Hussain Ali Afandi Road. VIII. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/Dr Ziauddin Ahmad Road. IX. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/Baba-e-Urdu Road. X. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/Muhammad Bin Qasim Road. XI. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/Court Road. XII. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/ Leading towards High Court Road. XIII. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/Sarmad Road. XIV. Junction of Sh. Liaquat/Abdullah Haroon Road. XV. All other street/ Lanes falling on Sh. Liaquat. XVI. Junction of preedy Street/ Dr. Dawoodpota Road. XVII. Junction of Preedy Street/Preedy P.S. Road. XVIII. Junction of A.H. Road opposite Ghafoor Chamber. XIX. Junction of Aga Khan Road/leading towards Grammar School. XX. Junction of Dr. Dawoodpota Road/ leading towards Mansfield street. XXI. Mansfield street/ leading towards Lines Area. XXII. All road/streets of Lines Area from Mansfield Street to Old Exhibition. XXIII. Junction of Sh. Quaideen/Link road behind Mazar-e- Quaid. XXIV. Junction of link road behind Mazar/ Dada Bhoy Noorji Road (PPP. Chowrangi). XXV. Intersection opposite, Islamia College. XXVI. Junction of Altaf Hussain Road/leading towards old Market/City Court near Denso Hall. XXVII. Junction of Dr. Tahir Saifuddin Road/leading towards Hassan Ali Affandi Road back side Session Court building. XXVIII. Junction of Hassan Ali Affandi Road/Chand Bibi Road. XXIX. Junction of NJV School/M.A. Jinnah Road. XXX. Junction of Jamila street/leading towards Ankle Sariya. XXXI. Junction of Agha Khan Road/Coast Guard Road. XXXII. Junction of Soldier Bazar/Kiyani Road Opp. Coast Guard Headquarters. XXXIII. Junction of Solder Bazar/Mansfield Street. XXXIV. All roads/lanes/streets on Soldier Bazar/ Bahadur Yar Jang Road from Agha Khan Road to Guru Mandir. XXXV. All Inter streets/roads/lanes from Altaf Hussain Road to Ankle Sariya Hospital. XXXVI. All vehicular Traffic coming from the side of University Road via New M.A. Jinnah Road will not be allowed to proceed towards M.A. Jinnah Road /link road behind Mazar and it will be diverted on Sh. Quaideen Road towards Society/ Allah-Wala Chowrangi.

5. All vehicles approaching Guru Mandir from the sides of Jamshed Road, Jahangir Road, Business Recorder Road will not be allowed to proceed towards Old Exhibition, Nishter Park via M.A. Jinnah Road and Bahadur Yar Jang Road and it will be diverted on alternate roads from these points.

6. All lanes/roads/streets of Bahadur Yar Jang Road from Guru Mandir to Mansfield Street meant for Nishter Park will be sealed for all type of traffic.

7. All traffic coming from the side of Sh. Quaideen will not be allowed to proceed towards Old Exhibition and it will be diverted from the junction of the link road behind Mazar-e-Quaid.

8. Parking of any vehicle will not be allowed along the route of the procession.
