Karachi, A witness in a dacoity case was shot dead at Mehran Town in the limits of Korangi Industrial Area Police Station in the early hours of Thursday, police said.
An official at the police station said Qasim, 30, s/o Faiz Muhammad Rind Baloch was killed by armed men while he was sleeping at his scrap store situated at plot number 242 of the area.
Motive behind his killing appears to eliminate the witness as the deceased identified an alleged dacoit Sultan Khoso in a dacoity case on November 24, 2011.
Family of the deceased alleged that he was receiving threats from accomplices of the bandits who are nominated in FIR namely Roshan Chandio, Aijaz Chandio, Allah Dino and Foji Khoso.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. The police registered case number 78/2012 under section number 302 and 34 of Pakistan Pennell Code against above mentioned persons.
