Karachi, The Ferozeabad police have arrested three bandits of inter-provincial gang of robbers who were involved in Rs.15 million robbery in Rawalpindi and were hiding in Karachi. The arrested bandits were committing crimes in bungalows in Karachi and Punjab and had been in jails earlier.
On a tip off the police team headed by SHO Ferozeabad Inspector Malik Salim conducted raid near Hill Park and nabbed Muhammad Hashim, the ring leader, along with his two accomplices Nawab Khan and Zubairul Haq Qureshi while two others managed to escape. Weapons were also recovered from the arrested robbers.
The arrested accused persons had robbed cash and other valuables worth Rs.15 million from the house of one Chaudhry Muhammad Aamir in Satellite area of New Town, Rawalpindi in May 2011 and were hiding in Karachi. Ring leader Hashim was injured in firing by his accomplices during clash over sharing the booty and was admitted in Jinnah hospital with fake name of Farooque. He had told the doctors that he sustained injuries in firing by robbers while going with father.
Police have started search of his other accomplices.
