RATODERO: PPP workers caravans have started arriving at the Bhutto mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto (GKB) from different parts of Pakistan including Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir for which tent camps have been have been erected.
Pakistan President & PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zaradi has also arrived in Naudero along with his son Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Soon after his arrival President Zardari went to GKB and offered prayers at the grave of his slain wife ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah also arrived earlier and visited GKB and reviewed security arrangements at the public meeting ground which is
to be addressed by co-chairman Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani and
Chairman Bilawal.
The gathering is being held on the eve of 4th death anniversary celebrations of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on Tuesday. PPP
expects participation of thousands of people.
Sindh Chief Minister was accompanied by the Sindh Ministers Manzoor Wasan, Agha Siraj Durrani, Ayaz Soomro and others.
While talking to Media CM said that the public meeting would be a historic one wherein hundreds of thousands of people will participate and it will be bigger than the PTI/Nishtar Park gathering. People will not be hired and will come here at their own to pay homage to their slain leader, he added.
He requested the intellectuals to correctly assess participation. He further said that President, Prime Minister and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will address the mammoth gathering. He said that the expenditure incurred on PTI public meeting was equal to the budget of Karachi and one person cannot afford it therefore they (PTI) are following capitalism whereas PPP is following the helping poor people. He further said that PPP will complete five year mandate. He said that no one else can have 2/3rd majority as gained by President Zardari during his election to the august post.
He further said that the trial of Benazir Bhutto murder case is going on in the court and evidence is being recorded and further said that Interior Minister is well aware of the case.
Meanwhile Balochistan PPP workers held protest demonstration at GKB while
beating their chests with chains and later on chained their bodies against non-provision of facilities to the affected families after they lost everything during last years devastating floods. About 20 workers protested that belonged to Sohbatpur, Dera Murad Jamali, Dera Allahyar and Usta Muhammad areas. These workers include Munir Abro, Sorab Khoso, Nazar Jan Baloch, Sadiq Lango, Zafar Lashari alleged that their Provincial President Sadiq Umrani has neglected all the flood affected people including their areas.
They further said that since last 13 days they are protesting in all big
cities and towns of Balochistan including Quetta but no notice has yet
beentaken by any one. They further said that they will immolate themselves tomorrow on the eve of 4th death anniversary celebration if their just demands are not met. PPP workers who left Karachi on bicycles have arrived in GKB. For the first time in the history of PPP never before the people of the home town of BB were invited on loud speakers to participate in the annual anniversary but this time PPP workers were requesting citizens to take part in the Jalsa and celebrations.
